Sanitary landfill is one of the main methods of disposal of waste disposal. Under the effect of humidity, temperature, pressure and other factors, landfill will produce gas. If the gas is improperly disposed of, there may be an accident such as an explosion that threatens the safe operation of the landfill site. On the contrary, if it can be recycled, it will be turning waste into treasure. As the basic scientific problem in landfill gas recovery and utilization, the research on the generation and migration law of landfill gas has become an important topic of international concern. Under the support of the Ministry of Housing and Urban-Rural Development, based on the results of indoor experiments and on-site monitoring, through the interdisciplinary cross, the generation and migration characteristics of landfill gas were investigated. A series of mathematical model to describe and predict the landfill migration and production were established. Numerical simulation to predict the gas flow in landfill body were also introduced in this book. According to the research results, some suggestions to collect and reuse landfill gas were given at the end. The content will provide a reliable theoretical basis for the design and management of landfill gas safety control system, which is of great theoretical and practical value for the protection of ecological environment and the utilization of landfill gas.
